'The Irresistible Force' could face up to a year on the sidelines.

Nia Jax hasn't been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35, where she and partner Tamina failed in their attempt at capturing the Women's Tag Team Championships in a match with winners The IIconics, defending champions Bayley and Sasha Banks, and Natalya and Beth Phoenix.

'The Irresistible Force' herself revealed two torn ACLs as the reason, and Jax was immediately projected up to a year of action. Today, Nia looks set to take the first step on a long road to recovery.

Per Squared Circle Sirens' Casey Michael, Jax will today undergo surgery to repair both damaged ACLs, after which she shall begin a gruelling rehabilitation process. It is the first serious injury of her career, having debuted as an in-ring performer in May 2015 before a main roster call-up shot her to wider prominence the following year.

It took Jax until April 2018 to become a champion, with 'The Irresistible Force' taking Alexa Bliss' Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania 34. A 70-day reign ended by 'The Goddess'' hand at the Money In The Bank, with Jax operating as a fill-in challenger for Ronda Rousey and a tag wrestler since then, as well as competing in the men's Royal Rumble.
