There was a special guest amongst all the WWE stars lending their bodies for the benefit of EVOLVE's 10th anniversary celebration last night, as none other than motor-mouthed advocate and new Raw Executive Director for realsies Paul Heyman popped his head through the door.

Heyman was on hand to introduce the two participants of the show's huge Winner Takes All match for the EVOLVE and WWN championships, lavishing both Austin Theory and JD Drake with compliments before telling fans the match was going to blow them away.

There was a huge degree of sentiment behind Paul E's appearance; the show was taking place in Philadelphia's 2300 Arena, the one time home of ECW. Naturally, a huge "welcome home" chant ripped around the building, as Heyman admitted he wasn't invited, but asked to be there.

He concluded the event demonstrated that business had indeed 'evolved', before introducing the wrestlers.

Ultimately, Austin Theory bested Drake, walking away with both belts in tow.

At the top of the show, NXT champion Adam Cole defeated Akira Tozawa - despite an interruption by Johnny Gargano. After the match, Gargano joined the beaten challenger in praising EVOLVE's fans, as the night ended in celebration.
