Of course there is a Comboy Batman. How could there not be? Batman: The Blue, The Grey and The Bat features a Batman that is barely recognisable against any sort of Batman lore. In fact his reason for Batman seem questionable at best. Tasked by Lincoln himself, Colonel Bruce Wayne is sent find hidden gold in Nevada that would help swing the civil war for the north. Bruce Wayne decides to dress in a bat suit to stay undercover and so he can't be tracked by his enemies. Now, there is a case to be made against this approach, since a full leather black suit seems a little impractical in the flat and blistering dessert of the American west. In fact some might say it would make him much easier to track and find. But shhh... Batman. My favorite thing about Cowboy Batman though is his reason to take on the form of a bat. He tells Lincoln that the night he received his summons, a bat flew into his window. That is it. That iconic, character defining moment just rendered into , "Heh, why not?". Cowboy Batman gets onto this list for not just being a Cowboy Batman, but also for not being like Batman at all.
