While there is lots of story material available in the comics, there is also lots of stylistic material available to use as reference for a Batman TV show. The Burton Batman films presented a particular style for the Batman, which was used and developed into the dark decor style of the Batman animated series. The Burton Batman also influenced the style of the Nolan films, in particular Batman Begins. Nolan developed a different style for Batman in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. By using less CGI and making Gotham less cluttered, Nolan created a more modern, realistic style. All of these different styles of presenting Batman, including those used in various comics, could be used to develop a new style for a new TV Batman.
