In the less than popular sci-fi horror flick, Event Horizon, we wait patiently for all hell to break loose, which it does, literally. Hell hath taken over the vessel and Dr. Weir is the devil himself. Dr. Weirs bizarre transformation was what made me put Event Horizon on the list in the first place, but it is the dramatic and gut-wrenching make-ups on those in his strange vision that have pushed the film up to number eight. When Lawrence Fishburns character is forced to see the torture and terror inflicted on his crew in hell, we are left dry heaving into our palms. If we could have seen more than just fractions of seconds worth of footage, this may have made it higher on the list.
7. Sleepaway Camp - Soup's On!
Alright, broski was a jerk and deserved to kick the bucket, but to be boiled alive? The thought alone is enough to twist our faces into a look of sheer disgust. I will say that 80s movies may not be as graphic as what we are subjected to today, but the make-up done on this specific actor was unbelievably realistic. His skin is bubbling up, peeling off, the right shade of red and blanch white, and it is absolutely gut wrenching. We have no problems understanding why Ben rushes in and just stares.
