Its a love triangle between three of the shallowest people imaginable: Meryl Streeps vainglorious actress, Bruce Willis hapless plastic surgeon and Goldie Hawns jilted novelist. When the prospect of immortality is introduced, the amount of backstabbing and double-crossing gets turned up to eleven. The film seems to want us to root for Willis by the end. But that only works if you ignore the inconvenient fact that he plotted to kill his wife and then pushed her down the stairs! Do we really have to lower our standards that much in order to find a hero in this film? If thats the case then I think these characters may be better off dead.
