If DC want to use the tried and tested plot of an alien invasion (much like Marvel did in the Avengers using the Chitauri), they could do a lot worse than using the fearsome White Martians. If the Justice League lineup in the movie is to include J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, they could use him as the string that ties the heroes and villains together and make their appearance relevant and plausible. The White Martians are frightening to look at and possess a whole host of powers and abilities, such as super-strength and durability, flight, invisibility, telepathy, shape-shifting and intangibility. An invading army of these alien beasts would be huge cause for concern for the Justice League and would provide an epic, large-scale final battle, à la the Avengers conclusion.
