6. Edward Norton (Hulk)
Alright, alright, there's like a snowball's chance in Hell that this would ever happen, but doesn't it make more sense to go with a tried and tested Hulk rather than go searching for someone new, especially when the actor's facial features are so integral to the design of the alter-ego equivalent? Edward Norton wasn't invited to return for The Avengers due to his dictatorial attitude on the set of The Incredible Hulk, despite the fact that the film garnered broad critical acclaim and an OK (ish) box office draw.
If Mark Ruffalo were to exit, the sensible decision would be for Marvel to swallow their pride and ask Norton back. He did great things with the role - though was outshone by Ruffalo, admittedly - and would easily transition back into it. What else would they do? Bring Eric Bana back and confuse the Hell out of everyone?
