2. Jake Gyllenhaal (Hawkeye)
Hawkeye is another character who, like Black Widow, sat at the periphery of The Avengers line-up and didn't really get to do a whole lot, such that even Jeremy Renner himself admitted that he wasn't that happy with what he was given to do in the film. If Renner isn't invited back to the dance but Marvel seem keen to juice up the character's role a bit, perhaps it might be worth re-casting with an A-list actor - I'm thinking Jake Gyllenhaal.
He might not be the first name to come to mind when you think of a superhero movie, but he did show off his fun side playing Prince Dastan in the otherwise turgid Prince of Persia video game adaptation, and he's certainly got the acting abilities for a more fleshed-out role. This one really lies with Marvel; if they continue to make Hawkeye a relatively boring character, then there's no chance Gyllenhaal would even consider it, and rightfully so.
