One of the most exciting bits of casting made by Warner Bros. for their DCEU is that of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as Black Adam, who'll be appearing in 2018's Shazam, which seems so obvious I can't believe it hasn't happened before now. I mean, The Rock basically is a superhero already, so it makes total sense to have him actually playing one. Or at least, he'll sort of be playing one, as he'll be the anti-hero of the piece, which means that he should get to have a lot of fun with the role, and also kick a huge amount of ass (basically like every Rock movie ever). However, out of the entire upcoming slate, Shazam is probably the one people know the least about, making it one currently with minimal excitement. However, Johnson is a one-man marketing machine, through his great social media feeds, and they can use his presence to their advantage in the build-up to the film. But let's go a step further. Having him briefly appear after the credits in one of the preceding movies post-Justice League to show off his powers or deliver a hilarious quip would go a long way to creating some hype for the movie.
