Ah... He won an Oscar but Cuba has made some serious flops. Just awful movies. From a guy who was great in (the obvious) Jerry Maguire, As Good As It Gets, Boys In The Hood (plus some change)... it's just not good enough from an Oscar winner. Bob Hoskins once said "You reach a point where the cameo is the governor. You go in there for a couple of weeks, you`re paid a lot of money, everybody treats you like the crown jewels, you`re in and out, and if the film`s a load of shit, nobody blames you, y`knowwhadimean. It`s wonderful". An ideal that Cuba might of been guilty of taking a little too far. Recent movies have been one long bad cameo Yet, on a positive note, 2013 has brought some nice cards to his table, putting pen to paper joining impressive ensemble cast 'The Butler' ( the story of a White House aid who served eight American Presidents) and also not forgetting 'Machete Kills', Robert Rodriguez's sequel to 2010 retro Mexican western 'Machete'. It's looking like Cuba is making a steady pay check whilst adding his name to some decent films (I tried being positive). Should He Quit: If it's keeping him from making more Daddy Day Care sequels then I'm all for it.
