It feels kind of unnatural writing a negative statement about someone so beautiful. Tim Burton's Batman ended the 1980s with a bang and Kim Basinger was a big part of that. The same thing happened in the 90s with her turn in L.A. Confidential. She brought a sexy, almost Marilyn Monroe type of confidence into memorable performances (who could forget the woman from 9 1/2 weeks). Then, something happened... Well, nothing to be more precise. She seems artistically comfortable and with a personal life all over the internet (sorry for the bitchy journalism) fresh in the minds of the creatures of Hollywood, it's becoming even harder to see her recover. Maybe she didn't get offered any great roles for a while or maybe after experiencing her former husband making the classic 'pissed phone call to the ex at four in the afternoon' she just gave up and thought 'F*** It' but arguably after 8 Mile, she hasn't done anything which gives you that feeling that 9 1/2 Weeks gave you (no pun intended). Should She Quit: Why should we care, she gave up on us!
