Despite some very strange omissions during the nominations process - especially The Rescue - this is a strong year for the documentary field, and one which should probably see animated documentary Flee scoop the win.

Beyond the fact it's nominated for Best Documentary Feature, Best Animated Feature, and Best International Feature, it uses the documentary format in a truly unique and creative way to tell its tale.

What Will Win: Summer of Soul

This is a two-horse race between Flee and Questlove's fantastic music documentary Summer of Soul, and nothing else gets even close. Summer of Soul has been performing much better on the circuit, so it's the easy one to back.
