Far Cry 2 is, to be fair, a game I never even bothered finishing, so if that makes it a less-valid entry onto the list, then so be it - crucify me in the comments section. While I love what Ubisoft has done with the latest game, I could not get on with the second entry at all; I got to what I later discovered was only around the half-way point in the game, having presumed that I was actually reaching the end. I was hit with the realisation that, upon a different part of the map being opened up to me, I'd basically have to repeat pretty much the same exploration and combat-type missions I'd already gotten pretty bored with. I decided to call it a day, content that I'd wrung about as much enjoyment out of Far Cry 2 as I was ever going to. It was just never a game, even in its early moments, that really compelled me to keep going. I gave it a chance, but it really felt like it was never going to end, and is the ultimate proof that just because a game is long, that doesn't mean it's good, fun or even value for money.
