The start of the year always seems to be a good time for indie rock bands to make a name for themselves, as groups ranging from the Arctic Monkeys to the Vaccines have benefitted greatly in the past by releasing their debut albums in January, February or March, when the schedule of releases is less congested. Bastille are this years success story, having gone straight to number one in March with Bad Blood, an album that contains the number two single Pompeii as well as the upcoming Laura Palmer, which also featured on their debut EP of the same name two years ago (Im guessing that the London foursome are Twin Peaks fans). Having supported Emeli Sande last year, the group will this month tour with Muse before the summer festival season, where their already considerable following will likely expand.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQnSc0bczg0
