Liverpool will feel unlucky to leave Anfield with only a solitary point after throwing away a one goal lead not once, but twice.

1. Raheem Sterling Looks A Promising Talent

The 17-year-old Liverpool winger caused problems for City throughout the match, especially down the flanks and he linked well with Suarez. On top of that he showed a great determination to challenge for the ball and he put few brilliant crosses into the box, one of which Fabio Borini put just wide. It was a stark contrast from Stewart Downing, who watched on from the bench. The England international has been criticised since his arrival at Anfield for many mediocre performances. The sheer energy shown by the youngster proves that he wants to make the spot his own and by today€™s effort he deserves more chances in the starting eleven. Jonjo Shelvey continued to impress the Liverpool fans with another assured performance when he replaced Lucas Leiva, who had to be taken off with a minor-looking injury several minutes in. Shelvey seems to have earned himself a place as the fourth choice central midfielder, although he might be knocked down that list by the impending arrival of Nuri Sahin, who watched on from the stands.
