Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City: 4 Talking Points

4. Sergio Aguero Will Be Missed

Neither Edin Dzeko nor Mario Balotelli looked capable of filling the spot left by the injured Argentinian. The Bosnian may have only come on for the final quarter of the match but he only had one chance and he thrashed it over. The Italian on the other hand caused problems for the Liverpool defence in terms of winning free-kicks but he never threatened the goal and went missing for large parts of the game. While Carlos Tevez didn€™t have his most dangerous game, he made the most of his chance when it eventually came and at the end of the day, that€™s the most important thing. With David Silva and Jack Rodwell both having to start from the bench today it may not take long for Roberto Mancini to favour the lone Argentinian up-front rather than a two-man strike force. The creative spark and quick feet, as well as the devastating finishing, of Aguero may be a big miss for City and his absence was noticeable as the champions failed to find a way through the sturdy Liverpool defence time after time.
