Big AC has been running away from his transfer fee since Liverpool splashed the cash for him on deadline day of the 2011 January transfer window, and towards the end of the season, he hit his stride. Scoring in the FA cup semi final and final, Andy Carroll looked a changed player from the clumsy, lazy centre forward with a bad touch that he had portrayed up until April. His performances at Euro 2012 didn't do him any harm, scoring his first international goal with a soaring header against Sweden. He's not a bad player. In fact, he could even be a great player. There were certainly signs last season that maybe, with the right management and attitude, he could one day live up to the 35 million price tag that has so unfairly stalked him. But does he fit into Liverpool now? Brendan Rodgers tika-taka style is about short passes, movement, speed and quick decision making. Carroll falls short in all of those categories, even at his best. Not to mention the lack of long balls and crossing that the manager will look to instil in his side. It will be fascinating to see where the giant striker fits in next season.
