The 24-year old however is currently away playing with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations, so Pardew faces a race against time if he is to acquire his signature before Thursday's Transfer Deadline Day. Bony has been in inspired form for Vitesse, scoring 30 goals in 51 overall appearances for the Dutch outfit.
