PSG Sign Everton's Idrissa Gueye For £30 Million
The 29-year-old Senegal midfielder completes his £30 million move to Paris St-Germain.
After being linked with a move away from Goodison Park for the majority of last season, Idrissa Gueye has now completed a move to Ligue 1 Champions Paris St-Germain.
The 29-year-old ball-winning midfielder has gone from strength to strength at Everton over the past three years, and his performances in the middle of the park for Everton put him on the radar of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Now, as confirmed by the BBC, Gueye has completed a move to PSG for a fee reported to be in the region of £30 million. The Senegal international has signed a four-year deal at Parc des Princes.
Having arrived from Aston Villa for £7 million in 2016, this brings an end to Gueye’s spell on Merseyside.
The signing of Gueye sees Paris St-Germain’s midfield ranks currently bursting at the seams, with the energetic former Lille man joining a club that also has Marco Verratti, Andre Herrero, Julian Draxler, Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria amongst its midfield options.
The sale of Idrissa Gueye will boost the funds available to Everton manager Marco Silva as he looks to add to his summer spending before the UK transfer window slams shut on August .
