There was one line of dialogue in Lost in the Flood that stood head and shoulders above the rest.

As Oliver Queen realises that Malcolm is part of Damien Darhk’s plan and has Thea under his spell, the Emerald Archer fiercely barks “I should’ve taken your head.”

He’s likely right too, with Ollie having opted to take Merlyn’s hand rather than his head when he had the chance. This brilliantly-delivered line of grizzled intent showed how determined Oliver is, how his mindset has changed a little, and how the stakes have been upped.

And when it comes down to it, even though it’s not exactly heroic, we all know, as does Ollie, that yes, he likely should’ve killed Merlyn when he had the chance.
