Expect the WWE to make a storyline out of Brock Lesnar "suing" the WWE for a breach of contract over money owed to him in the coming weeks/months. This is a play on the actual legal battle between the WWE and Lesnar years ago. The storyline idea is to make sense of Lesnar being off television until the weeks building to August's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. As we've mentioned before, Lesnar has only signed a contract with the company for a limited number of dates and WWE need to keep him off TV to make sure they have enough left for appearances at marquee ppvs SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 29. To further help the storyline make sense, WWE brought in Paul Heyman, the former on-screen manager of Lesnar and off screen mentor for many years to play his legal advisor. Heyman will be working with the WWE through until WWE SummerSlam representing "his client", though will not be going on the road or helping out in creative. Though we are told to expect viral campaigns and other worked/shoot segments to try and get over a legitimate issue between WWE and Lesnar that can build to a huge SummerSlam match between Triple H and Brock Lesnar that WWE are hoping will have a big match atmosphere and lots of outside interest. Hard to imagine Heyman not helping out with this idea. Heyman is said to have jumped at the chance of working with his close friend Lesnar and to get his name out there in the business again. He is back for the four month stint to make some money and potentially help out CM Punk, a wrestler he has had much respect for and helped him on his entry to the company. He recently worked on Punk's upcoming DVD release and documentary at the request of the WWE Champion. PWInsider reports that the backstage reaction to Heyman on RAW this past Monday was very positive with the younger talents glad to see him as he worked with them from their time in WWE developmental.
