AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 is on course to become the second-biggest pay-per-view in company history in terms of buys, reports Dave Meltzer on today's Wrestling Observer Radio.

While hard numbers are yet to come through following Sunday's show, Meltzer states that DoN 2021 will likely outdo DoN 2020's buys "by a decent amount", leaving it sitting between that event and Revolution 2021 on the list.

Per the 3 May 2021 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Revolution pulled an estimated 159,000 buys in February. Double Or Nothing 2020 hit around 120,000.

Meltzer stated that streaming numbers in the United States were up 12% on last year's DoN. The television pay-per-view advance figures indicate that this year's total should be above the 2020 pay-per-view as well, though firmer numbers may not emerge until later in the week.

As with last year, Double Or Nothing 2021 was headlined by the Stadium Stampede match, as The Inner Circle overcame The Pinnacle. This, along with Kenny Omega's World Title defence against PAC and Orange Cassidy, was likely the biggest draw on a 10-match lineup that saw every active AEW championship defended.
