Eric Bischoff Says AEW Is "So F**king Crowded"
The former WCW President gives his thoughts on Cody Rhodes' future.
On the latest episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff has been discussing the current situation of Cody Rhodes.
Of course, Cody and wife Brandi officially departed AEW in February, having both reportedly been working without contracts since last December. Since then, speculation has been rampant that the American Nightmare is returning to WWE, whilst others are predicting that Rhodes will end up eventually penning a new deal with All Elite Wrestling.
When asked where he thinks Cody will end up, Bischoff has stated he'd rather see Rhodes in WWE, explaining how AEW is "so f**king crowded" at the moment.
As picked up on by Wrestling Inc., the former WCW President said:
"I would rather see him in WWE. It's so f**king crowded in AEW, there's so much going on there. That's not a criticism, it's an exciting thing for the people in AEW in many respects, but if you're a top talent, it's a very, very crowded environment now. It's hard so far. I hope I'm proven wrong, I hope that in this case I'm going to be proven wrong when I saw AEW needs to find itself creatively, because right now it's just throwing so much exciting stuff against the wall and then, before it has a chance to stick or not, they're onto the next thing."
Bischoff would add how he wants to see Cody Rhodes do whatever makes he and his family the happiest, and compared Cody's drive and vision to that of his legendary father Dusty.
With this week's episode of Raw taking place from Jacksonville, Florida, some are predicting that Cody will make his WWE return tonight and set something up for WrestleMania 38 - with plenty of those same people believing that Rhodes will do battle with Seth Rollins at this year's Showcase of the Immortals.
