Ex-WWE stars Kofi (Kingston) and Austin Creed (Xavier Woods) made a splash during the pre-show for AEW All In 2026 by aligning with Swerve Strickland and renaming themselves The New Level. Now, as reported by PWInsider, it looks like the former New Day pair made an even bigger impression behind the curtain than they did in front of it.

AEW's roster and staff were left very impressed by how Kofi and Austin handled themselves backstage. They were said to be 'an absolute delight' from the moment they arrived, and they personally went out of their own way to introduce themselves to everyone who was working on the bumper pay-per-view in London.

That went down extremely well, and showed that The New Level plan to be team players.

PWInsider also reported that morale is high in AEW right now, and it should only help to have positive influences like Kofi and Creed around the place. Quotes such as: "They are everything you always heard about plus more" and, "WWE's loss is AEW's gain" were thrown around over the weekend in relation to both men.

Kofi and Austin teamed with Swerve to win a Trios Roulette Battle Royale for AEW's Trios Titles. Some fans on social media scoffed at the idea of debuting such major stars via the PPV pre-show, but that didn't seem to bother The New Level - they went about their business professionally and with smiles on their faces.

The former New Day team left WWE in early-May. That came as a huge shock at the time, because both had been with the promotion for a long, long time.
