The WWE is suffering from a diluted main event scene and with only a few top-level wrestlers the company needs to look at pushing its best young talents. When another Big Show/ John Cena feud was announced last month there was a universal groan. Do we really want another battle between these two? No, was the unanimous answer. But, how did the WWE come to this point? Big Show, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Kane and Mark Henry have been on the go since the mid-nineties, The Rock, Triple H, Undertaker and Brock Lesnar have to be brought back to bump up PPV buys and guys like The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and Christian have failed to capitalise on their moments in the spotlight. Perhaps only Sheamus, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan could be counted as recent main eventers. The two most interesting wrestlers of this past decade are also two of the most opinion-splitting: Randy Orton and John Cena. Aside from the Attitude Era stars, they are the two longest serving main eventers. Brock Lesnar should have been a star of the last decade but he had bigger aspirations, Goldberg had a quick stop, Kurt Angle had injury problems and moved on to TNA, Edge had to retire due to injuries, Jeff Hardy left the WWE at the moment when hed finally reached the top, RVD moved on and Batista also left. So if WWE are to start creating more main eventers, who are the future stars they should push? One thing thats noticeable by the list is that while the WWE have plenty of good, young heels, they are lacking in the face department.
