Not only the greatest match of any Summerslam, but also one of the best in WWE history. The feud was focused on the relationship between Bulldog and his brother-in-law Bret. In front of the largest certified crowd in WWE history (around 80,000), a sell-out Wembley crowd cheered on a national hero as the British Bulldog went toe-to-toe against the legendary Hitman. The pair complimented each other perfectly; Harts methodical submission style and Bulldogs use of power moves led to a brilliant match. It was also evident how experienced the pair were working together which meant it was smooth and perfectly-worked. Towards the conclusion of the 25-minute bout Hart clasped on his signature Sharpshooter, which had always been seen as an unbreakable hold. That was until Bulldog powered out, pushing Hart off the ropes. The Hitman came back and attempted a sunset slip but Bulldog countered and pinned Hart to win his Intercontinental Championship. As the crowd cheered on Bulldog, the Englishman attempted to shake the hand of Bret, who having seemingly gone to leave the ring, turned round and hugged the Bulldog. It has gone down as one of the iconic moments in WWE history and one of the best matches.
