2. Chase World Heavyweight Championship While there is no longer a true 'brand separation', there has seemed to be a decidedly dismissive notion given to the superstars on the Smackdown brand. Now once upon a time this was unheard of- Smackdown was the home of such superstars as the Undertaker, Edge, Batista and Chris Jericho. Now though it seems that Friday Nights need a bit of a shock through the system. Enter CM Punk. If Punk was to come back and emphasise the fact that he wants the World Heavyweight Championship, for whatever reason, all of a sudden the belt would seem more legitimate. Not only would the World Heavyweight Championship be worn by one of the best talkers in the business, he would be a legitimately great face for Smackdown who could differentiate Friday Nights from the Cenafied Mondays. What's more- Champion vs Champion matches would matter again, as nobody would be sure that the WWE Champion would beat the Best in the World. There are problems with this scenario, however. One is the fact that if Punk is one of the best live talkers WWE has and there is little doubt that Raw would miss his spontaneity. Secondly, the blue brand would probably need to give someone up in return ( Randy Orton seems like the logical choice ) in order to keep the numbers even enough. Finally, by doing this, Punk would no doubt be making it harder for the younger superstars to get noticed.
