10 Best Static Shock Episodes

9. Fallen Heroes

Static Shock TV Show
Warner Bros.

Before Marvel brought the idea of the cinematic universe into the mainstream, the DC Animated Universe was working out all the kinks in the animation world.

And since Static was technically part of the DC animated universe, after his show got a redesign more in line with the rest of the DCAU, they started doing crossovers. The most famous of which is, of course, A League Of Their Own, where Static helps the Justice League take down Brainiac.

But the best one - by far - is Fallen Heroes, which sees Static contend with Green Lantern John Stewart, who has seemingly gone full villain. Static, who grew up idolizing Stewart as a black superhero all his life, is torn apart by this apparent turn to crime, and so sets himself towards catching him.

It's just a really good episode for Static's character, using a conflict that hits close to home to drive his development.
