From the start, you should know that Injustice: Gods Among Us is one of the all-time best fighting games featuring superheroes from the DC Universe. That said, the sequel upped the ante, making it superior, but only by a small margin. Like its predecessor, the game is based on the comic book prequel series that began in January 2013.

Overall, the gameplay of Injustice 2 remained pretty much the same, though some minor tweaks were made to streamline the game mechanics. The game added a new loot-dropping system that rewards gameplay with various costume pieces and gear that can improve a character's stats.

This added a role-playing element to the fighting game, which improved upon the overall gameplay. The story is a continuation of the one from Gods Among Us, and it revolves around Batman and his buddies trying to reform society following the fall of Superman's Regime.

The cinematics are exceptionally well-made, and they seamlessly transition between fighting rounds, making it feel as if you're playing a movie. The game did feature some criticism over the random loot drops' stats and its microtransaction system, but for the most part, the game is a 10/10.
