4. Old Man Logan
2017's Logan was only very loosely based on the Old Man Logan comic, basically only taking the theme of age and the idea of an older Wolverine to the big screen, but my goodness was it a masterful film.
The movie is easily the best of Fox's X-Men movies, the dark, sombre tone seen throughout making for some devastating gut-punches, especially for those who had followed this version of the character through all of his adventures.
The cast's performances were beautiful, the script was fantastic and the action was raw and painful; it's a near perfect film for many, and even thinking about it may bring some close to tears.
So, it's obvious why Old Man Logan should never be used as a basis for a movie ever again, shouldn't it? Another attempt would never match this one.
