5 Reasons Marvel & Fox Shouldn't Make An Avengers vs X-Men Movie

Wouldn't you enjoy seeing Captain America toss Wolverine out of a plane at 35,000 ft. over the Arctic Circle? Or watching Namor the Submariner conjuring lakes of fire over the skies of Wakanda? What about a giant mythical dragon (in combination with what is known as the cosmic Phoenix Force) embruing a young girl, Hope Summers, with the power of bad-assery to defeat a power-hungry, snarling Cyclops? I get it. You're incredibly confused, and you should be. This is the ridiculum of Avengers Vs. X-Men, or AvX, the recently completed Marvel Comics epic that sold over 1 and a half million issues over the 12-issue arc. Recently, Lauren Shuler Donner, producer of the X-Men series, said that she'd love to, "mingle them the way they were written." Obviously, with the success of 'The Avengers' €” and the looming possibility of a Justice League movie at Warner Bros. €” studios are buying into the more-the-merrier model that Joss Whedon's summer blockbuster readily captured. But the AvX series was nothing to write home about. Yes, it dominated in terms of sales, but it's not a series that translates into film. Despite that harsh reality and the difficulty of 20th Century Fox and Marvel ever coming together on a deal to actually get it made, there's still talk of a film adaptation nonetheless. So, due to my unrelenting, superhuman senses of spite and snark, I couldn't help but compile 5 reasons AvX shouldn't be brought to the silver screen.
