Daredevil Season 3: 10 Ways To Make The Perfect Born Again Adaptation

8. Give Melvin His Gladiator Suit

Melvin Potter is one of the most tragic villains in Daredevil's rogues gallery, so it should come as no surprise that the show has been dropping hints towards the character's troubled tendencies from the comics.

Last season we saw Melvin partially unveil his gladiator armour, and, if Fisk does indeed target all of Matt's connections in the next season, then it's likely that Melvin - and his partner Betsy - will be placed in the firing line. This sort of trauma has, in the comics at least, led Potter to don his suit and battle with Daredevil, although the intent behind his violence is altogether less malicious than some of the other villains to have fought with Murdock in the past.

The next season might be a tad villain-heavy, but Potter never really was a villain in the classic sense. Further still, losing Melvin to violence would compound Matt's vulnerability as both Daredevil and a lawyer to a large degree, and emphasise Fisk's all out assault on every facet of the character's life.
