Gotham Season 5: 4 Ups & 0 Downs From Penguin, Our Hero

Catwoman and Harley Quinn. Enough said.

Gotham Season 5 Ep 3 Ups Downs
Fox

Contains spoilers from Gotham Season 5, Episode 3.

Gotham's final season has been pretty explosive thus far. With the end of the Fox series in sight, the showrunners have been pulling out all the stops to ensure that the beloved show goes out with a bang, and they haven't disappointed yet.

This week's episode, Penguin, Our Hero, picks up a week after the events of the previous instalment, and finds Gordon, Bullock and the rest of the GCPD officers taking care of the refugees and homeless in their new facility - which they aptly titled Haven. This causes problems for Oswald, as his undernourished guards decide to abandon their leader and head for Gordon's safe place.

It's not all about the on-going feud between Gordon and Penguin, however, as Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne resume their nightly jaunts through the city - only this time the city is a much more dangerous place - which provides for many great scenes.

Penguin, Our Hero explores the dynamic between several different characters, and focuses on the importance of territory in this No Man's Land landscape. It's not a perfect instalment, but it's the closest we've got in quite some time, which is further proof that Gotham's final season is on the right path.
