The Boys Season 2: 10 Shocking Comic Moments That Must Happen

9. The G-Men

It would be a genuine tragedy if the second season of The Boys took the very real potential of having an episode committed to murdering of the entire parodied cast of the X-Men, and did absolutely nothing with it. With Garth Ennis' original series containing the deaths of literally every member in gruesome detail, it's just about the biggest blood-fest in the comic - and therefore something the show absolutely has to capitalise on.

Moreover, this arc marks the beginnings of an even darker tone descending into the comic - if you can believe that - with the death of the 'G-Wiz' faction of the G-Men, which is comprised almost entirely of kids. Kids who are, at the end of this storyline, then dropped out of a plane in a shipping container, because innocence quite simply can't exist in any universe written by Ennis.

While a straight-up child massacre might be going a tad too far, any reference to - or murder of - the G-Men would be both shocking and glorious to see adapted on screen.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
