WWE's Brock Lesnar Mentioned In Marvel Comic

'The Beast' slapped around one of The Avengers...

Marvel Iron Man The Avengers Brock Lesnar

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar received an odd little cameo mention in Marvel Comic Avengers #31 issue.

After a prehistoric Iron Man helmet is discovered, Tony Stark travels to a prehistoric age to battle prehistoric Avengers. At one point, Iron Man is shown tearing off into the night sky and says, "Look, Ghost Rider Suffaluffagus and Brock Lesnar Starbrand are one thing, but no way am I getting slapped around by Thor’s daddy!".

That's...random.

WWE's own resident superhero Ricochet can sleep soundly then, because even the mighty Iron Man got his ass kicked by Lesnar. Stark's kicking only got one panel in the comic too, meaning it was even shorter than Rico's Super ShowDown smashing.

Seriously though, this is a random-but-cool cameo for Brock. It does come without a lot of context though, and there's no news on whether or not it's a one off (it probably is). If WWE are smart, they'll try to reference this somehow; Michael Cole could plug the comic, thus getting the company into Marvel's good books and making Lesnar look like a pop culture phenom.

He slugged Iron Man. That has to count for something.
