10 Huge Casting Surprises Avengers: Doomsday Could Still Pull
2. Miles Teller As The Maker
Doctor Strange isn't the only Marvel hero who could come face to face with an evil Variant of themselves, and again, this is one that could happen depending on how closely the comics are followed.
With the incursion of two different worlds, in theory there are two different versions of everyone. In Reed Richards' case, there was Mr. Fantastic, and then there was The Maker, an iteration of Reed who had turned to a life of villainy after suffering multiple tragedies in his life. His origin is similar to that of Miles Teller's Reed in Fant4stic.
Yes, Josh Trank's movie was incredibly poorly received, but that doesn't mean that certain aspects weren't without their merit, and couldn't be brought back and redeemed to some degree. Miles Teller's Reed Richards has the potential not only to shock audiences, as no one is going to expect the Fantastic Four reboot to be revisited, but to bring something unique to the table as a secondary villain next to Doom.
Of course, for a Reed Richards Variant, it wouldn't necessarily have to be Teller, though his already-established backstory does work in his favour. Pedro Pascal could easily play a twisted version of the character, or why not bring back Ioan Gruffudd?
