7. Johnny Depp - Alice In Wonderland (2011)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPK67tnsfZc I don't know how anybody else feels about Johnny Deep these days, but I'm tired of his kooky character schtick: there's only so many weird, quirky characters you can play before they all kind of blend into one, and that's ultimately what happened with Depp's interpretation of the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's God-awful Alice In Wonderland. It's just "another" weird Depp character: totally phoned in and a huge nail in the coffin for every one of these freaky "characters" that the actor has churned out of the past decade or so. Granted, some of them are genuinely good creations (Jack Sparrow springs to mind), but for the most part these performances are generic and samey turns cleverly disguised to make you feel like they're different. It's just "funny voice" plus "strange mannerisms," and, yep, you've got your latest Johnny Depp creation. I mean, I was okay with the actor doing his thing about until I saw him in this role, and it all became too much. Do some proper acting, Johnny - it's reached the point of embarrassment.
