2019 was certainly a year full of crowd-pleasing movie moments, be it Captain America (Chris Evans) wielding Mjolnir and quipping, "Avengers, assemble!", or Martin Scorsese uniting Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino for The Irishman, or basically any action sequence in John Wick Chapter 3, to name a few.

But it's just as easy to leave a sour taste in fans' mouths, because as demanding as film fandoms can be, sometimes directors just don't get things right.
