10 Reasons Why Batman TV Show MUST Follow The Dark Knight Rises

7. It Can Be Done Without A Big Budget

Batman's greatest power is his genius level intellect. He is the world's greatest detective. Detective shows are not very expensive to make as the multitude of police procedural TV shows can attest. The show would only need a few sets that could be re-used throughout the series. Wayne Manor, The Bat Cave, a street scene with rooftops and alleyways, a warehouse and an office would form the basis of most scenes. Even Batman's vehicles do not need to be very expensive. Road vehicles could be used as the basis for the Batmobile and Batcycle. Many road vehicles nowadays have a much sleeker design more like you would expect Batman to use. The costumes do not need to be expensive either. Many of the villain costumes are symbolic e.g. the Riddler's bowler hat, so they donĂt need to be very complicated or expensive to be effective. In the same way as with the vehicles, Batman's costume could be less militaristic and more like street clothes. This would be more in line with the traditional black and grey costume of the comics and in addition would allow for greater movement to show Batman as the world's greatest martial artist. A number of fan-made Batman short films have been made recently, which demonstrate how Batman stories can be done on a very small budget. Of particular note are the short films Batman: Dead End (which has the traditional black and grey costume) and Batman: Puppet Master.
