10 Things You Need To Know About The New DC Characters

9. He Does More Than Talk To Fish

Contrary to what you might have been told, Aquaman doesn€™t talk to fish, or in fact any aquatic animal. That€™s not to say he can€™t communicate with them though, as he does most of it through telepathy. Those telepathic powers allow him to manipulate the animals to his advantage in situations where he might need their aid. In certain circumstances he€™s also used telepathy on non-aquatic beings as well, with one particular attack on the villain Kordax being so strong that the villain killed himself to end it. Aside from that, Aquaman is an immense swimmer and is incredibly strong, while bullets simply bounce off him. He€™s also prone to the odd prophetic vision because of the magical forces surrounding him, while he also has enhanced senses. All of those things mean that Aquaman is a pretty fierce warrior, who is more than capable of standing toe to toe with the likes of Batman and Superman. More interesting is the fact that he€™s willing to get his hands dirty and kill off villains for good, which obviously stands in contrast to the ideals of the aforementioned Batman and Superman. All of that would certainly make interesting viewing in the DC Universe.
