2. The Matrix: Reloaded
After one of the most mesmerising films of the 90s in The Matrix, people were understandably eager for more. With two instalments filmed back to back and aiming for release within 6 months of each other, the series became muddled in over complication. Characters were no longer interesting as the filmmakers looked to expand a world that was already compelling. In the trailer for the first sequel Reloaded, we hear the soothing tones of Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus stating I believe this night holds, for each and every one of us, the very meaning of our lives. Now, how youre not meant to fist pump the air with excitement at that is beyond me.
