2. Hostel - Achilles Tendon Dice
I would have found a video for this scene, but I just couldnt bring myself to look it up. I dont find myself a particularly squeamish individual, but there is something about snapped tendons that really put me off of eating ever again. I know for a fact, having seen this in theaters when it was first released, that I am not alone. Actually, the entire theater screamed with disgust when our poor tourist friend got a scalpel to his Achilles. This was also the point at which several audience members up and left. This effect was so real, so painful, so evil that its disgust really rang in our bodies. It is said that ripping your Achilles is one of the most painful experiences you can have as a human being. This make-up made us sick to think of what it might feel like.
