18. Nightmare On Elm Street 4: Dream Master - Heart and Souls
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ewl4-AnvHGk A little campy, true, but one of the best things about Freddys make-up in the Nightmare on Elm Street series are his burns. Not only do they cover his entire body, but they are infected, never having been healed, and are slimy, still glistening as his undead body tries to produce anything that can act as a barrier between his burnt flesh and the elements. It is in this installment of the series, we are given a front row ticket to Freddys chest, a melted candle of all of the souls he has stolen during his reign as the boogeyman. The screaming heads and wriggling skin has us wondering what that must feel like under a sweater. It is when his chest of souls fights back that we get really sickened. Loose arms reaching out from underneath his skin, more heads pushing through - you can practically feel the flesh being ripped off of his muscles, the organs being crushed, and the skin wearing thinner and thinner. It was disgusting to watch, but even sicker to imagine. 17. The Lost Boys - Off With His Scalp!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miLBMIsKBJQ One of the best, if not the best, of vampire movies, The Lost Boys delivers a carnage ridden blood bath in its ever famous bonfire attack scene. What scares us about this scene is the fact that we can only see snippets of what is actually happening to the poor victims, but it is also what we see that disgusts us. My favorite part is when one of the biker boys gets his scalp ripped off. Because we only see short flashes, our minds are given the opportunity to fill in the holes, which is more disgusting than ever. We are very imaginative creatures, we are, and we assume the worst. Scraping a few layers of skin off our arms while falling off our bikes is nothing compared to having every layer of skin detached from our skulls, but the pain on our arms seems enough to make anyone queasy.
