Previous Film: While it didn't live up to the original movie in any way, last year's two-decades-in-the-making comedy sequel did manage to mine a little nostalgia from audiences, raking in an impressive box office haul of $170 million, a hit that Jim Carrey was sorely in need of. Why It Needs To Happen: Because the idea of seeing these two actors reprising their respective roles once again when they're in their 70s is too hilarious to pass up. Sure, some can argue that the second film proved that the magic wasn't quite there two decades later, but seeing Harry and Lloyd as old men has a certain demented potential, it's tough to deny. Current Status: At the end of the closing credits for Dumb and Dumber To, there's a tease for "Dumb and Dumber For", which it touts as being due for release in 2034. While it's something of a throwaway joke, it's actually a pretty hilarious title for the third film, even if it's not even going to be discussed for a long, long time (though some confirmation this year would be nice). Fingers crossed that nothing happens to Carrey or Daniels in the next 18 or 19 years...
