5 Movie Duos Who Need To Stop Working Together

2. Gore Verbinski & Johnny Depp

Johnny-Depp-and-Gore-Verbinski At its best the Depp/Verbinski partnership is mildly interesting; at its worst it is just plain terrible. Pirates of the Caribbean and Rango were fun enough but At World€™s End and Dead Man€™s Chest were simply horrible. There is an element of fun in the Depp/Verbinski partnership that show€™s itself in the right environment but too much of the time their films are characterised by overly complicated, formulaic plot twists. Self-indulgent and misjudged, as is so often the case with Depp these days, their collaboration acts as little more than an excuse for Depp to play dress ups.
