Avengers: Infinity War - 7 Minor Issues That Stop It Being Perfect
4. Black Panther & Wakanda Almost Feel Wasted
Another runaway fan theory was that the remaining Infinity Stone, the Soul Stone, was actually located in Wakanda. It made sense that the city's futuristic tech was bolstered by the power of this stone, and going off the trailers, also made sense the "last stand" would take place here as Thanos closed down on obtaining the last piece of his Infinity Gauntlet.
Instead... Wakanda "happens" to be the setting of the final battle, because that's where Cap takes Vision to be healed - which also only happens because Cap randomly shows up in Scotland to protect Wanda and Vision from members of the Black Order.
Again, it's all totally fine and propulsive/watchable as hell - but when you think of Black Panther's inclusion (less lines than Cap and only in three scenes with minimal dialogue) it's another bizarre editing/scripting choice, considering Black Panther is the single most profitable solo character in the MCU.
