David Lynch: Ranking His Movies From Worst To Best

david-lynch-600x300 "Not to everyone's taste" is the very best way to describe David Lynch. Some find him incredible, an artistic genius in an ever fickle film world, a game changer, a trend setter and a true master in the art of film. Others find his work frustrating, hard work and uncooperative. Then there are those who just think he is surreal for the sake of it and that his lack of closure/surreal framework is nothing more than a result of someone who has too much time and money to play with. Many conversations can be had on Lynch, but one thing remains; the man has been stirring up interest ever since his insane beginnings with Eraserhead. Here's the thing - If you like his films, or you at least appreciate what he has done for cinema, then you will know that David Lynch has barely hit a bum note. Saying this list is from worst to best is kind of misleading. Instead, look upon 90% of this list as being from great to really great. Of course, if you aren't a fan of Lynch, then you will have stopped reading by now, but thanks for the hit all the same. Whether it's due to content or weirdness, every Lynch film should come with a warning. For that reason, each choice also contains "The Severed Ear Scale of Madness" for your humble discretion - the more severed ears, the more insane the experience will be. Still with me? Good. Like a spiral staircase going down, enjoy the slow descent into madness, surrealism, metaphors, symbolism, violence and Sting in his underwear. Welcome to the bitter-sweet world of David Lynch...
