Every James Bond Henchmen Ranked

1. Red Grant - From Russia With Love

Red Grant (Robert Shaw) is the greatest Bond henchman of all time and there's simply no competition. The franchise has tried to imitate this character many, many times... and it's never succeeded in topping him.

An unstoppable and ferocious killing machine who is superbly played by the great Robert Shaw (who tragically died at the age of only 51 about 15 years after this movie), Red Grant is one of the best Bond characters of them all.

He's a seemingly unbeatable embodiment of death and who fills every scene with nerve-shredding suspense; even Bond looks powerless next to him. Bond does eventually kill Grant, but it was a close call nonetheless.

Speaking of that, Red Grant goes down in the film's electrifying train fight scene, which is maybe the best scene in any James Bond film, thus making him even greater. In every single way, Red Grant is one of the most mesmerising and brilliant assassins in film history and it's very unlikely any Bond henchman will ever top him.
