3. There's An Unfortunate Sex Tape Joke
If you're at all familiar with Paige, you'll be aware that a sex tape featuring her and other wrestlers was leaked in March 2017, which caused her to have suicidal thoughts and be hospitalised with stress-induced anorexia.
Unfortunately, Fighting with my Family was filmed literally weeks before the leak happened, and features a scene which coincidentally includes references to a sex tape.
When Dwayne Johnson is hanging out with Paige (Florence Pugh) at WrestleMania 30, he tells her that he refers to her NXT trainer Hutch Morgan (Vince Vaughn) as "sex tape", because Hutch took an insane bump back in the day which allowed The Rock to get over with the crowd. The joke here being that a sex tape makes you famous, and so Hutch = sex tape.
With The Rock's busy schedule there probably wasn't time to re-shoot the scene without the ill-timed joke, but considering that it appears at the very end of the scene, it could've been edited out of the movie pretty easily.
Why it was included despite the awkward memories it invokes for all involved is so peculiar, especially as it wasn't an integral part of the plot nor in the middle of a vital line of expository dialogue. Yikes.
